Uninstall Tool 3.2.2 crashes on startup
Fresh installation of an evaluation copy. As soon as I start Uninstall Tool it reads "Uninstall Tool has stopped working"

Thank you, ma_t14!
Please extract this archive to program folder and run the program again, it will produce a special crash dump that will help to locate the problem.

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.2.2 crashes on startup
Where is the crash dump supposed to be generated?
If a new window or something is supposed to pop-up nothing happens. I still get the same exact problem, no differences between the old and new replaced files.

It should have been created in the program folder
Can you please run the program with /log parameter and attach log here?

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.2.2 crashes on startup
If this one still crashes, then please create a dump of the following registry keys (and better zip .reg files) - with regedit
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Window\Current Version\Uninstall
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products
I think it would be the last thing!
PS. Gears of War is the last program in the log, I need its entry actually in both keys.

I'm sorry to say this but it is still crashing.. What do you mean by the above?Steven wrote:If this one PS. Gears of War is the last program in the log, I need its entry actually in both keys.
Re: Uninstall Tool 3.2.2 crashes on startup
I managed to solve this!!
You mentioned Gears of War and that got me thinking. I never installed Gears of War in its entirety. I remember starting the installer and then canceling the installation.
So what I did is I opened the default windows uninstall tool and found out that there was an entry for GoW. Double clicking it threw out some error about a corrupted installer or something (which makes sense since I didn't install it) and then I removed the entry.
Voilà now it works!
I hope this info will help you somehow

You are one of the two developers that I really appreciate because of their work. The other being the developer of MusicBee. It happens that both of you are called "Steven". Are you and him the same person in disguise?

Hi,
I'd like to let you know that the same problem has started occurring again. Assuming its related to the same bug when will the new version with the fix be posted?
Regards,
Marios Taki

Hi,
Thank you very much for the report.
We have 3.3 beta coming soon, it has many things fixed and what is more a crash reporting feature. Just stay in touch. 3.2.2 will notify about 3.3 beta if you have 'Check for beta version' option on
